Your Questions: Answered

What Is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is a time-honored healing art rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. By gently placing ultra-fine needles at specific points on the body, we work to restore the natural flow of your body’s energy—known as qi (pronounced “chee”). This gentle, precise stimulation encourages balance, eases inflammation, improves circulation, and supports your body’s own ability to heal—physically, emotionally, and energetically. In the care of a highly trained physician, acupuncture becomes a powerful and deeply personal path toward wellness.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Yes. When performed by a trained and licensed practitioner, acupuncture is extremely safe. We use FDA-approved, sterile, single-use needles that are as thin as a human hair. The treatment is non-invasive, carries minimal risk, and is performed with great care. Most points are gentle and well-tolerated—from head to toe—always tailored to your comfort and needs.

What Does Acupuncture Feel Like?

Acupuncture isn’t painful. The needles are solid, ultra-fine, and flexible—nothing like the hollow needles used in injections. You may feel a brief pinch or tingling that quickly fades, often followed by a sense of calm or warmth. Many patients find the experience deeply relaxing—some even fall asleep during treatment.

What Can Acupuncture Help With?

Acupuncture treats a wide range of conditions—chronic and acute pain, stress and anxiety, PTSD, migraines, allergies, digestive issues, insomnia, fertility support, and more. It’s also a powerful tool for prevention and overall wellness. In many cases, it can and should be your first line of care before more invasive options.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Every body is different. Acute issues may resolve in 5–10 sessions, while chronic conditions often take more time. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all plans. That’s why we offer flexible blocks—so if you start feeling better sooner, you can save unused sessions for future check-ups or seasonal tune-ups. Healing is a journey, and we’re here for every step.
